CHRIS DALTON POWELL

     I've been living between New York and California for most of my life.

     The majority of my photography work is self-initiated. It is focused on capturing images of individuals, both in portraiture and in motion, mostly without their knowing. 

     I am nearing completion on three large photographic  projects that have been years in the making.  Editing the material from more than 100,000 images.

     The drawings come naturally and are usually on antique paper.  The collage elements in some of the work are also old and from my large collection of ephemera.

     The drawings and collages plus sculptures run in a series usually and work together as a group, basically siblings
